HELLO! LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

I am a professional freelance musician with over 15 years of music and special event experience. I provide both live music & recorded production services, specializing in weddings, corporate functions, a number of private events, concert performances, and even a little bit of event emceeing. I absolutely love what I do and get a genuine enjoyment out of the opportunity to be part of making special memories that much more special.

HERE'S A LITTLE MUSICAL BACKGROUND:

I have been a lover of music all my life. As a small child, I picked up a toy harmonica and was able to play recognizable tunes right away. I began studying the piano around the age of 8 years old and continued taking lessons for about a year and a half. It wasn't long before I discovered that my natural, God-given ability to play "by ear" far exceeded my formal training on the piano.

In elementary school, I became interested in playing the cello and continued playing throughout middle and high school, where I served as the Assistant Principal Cellist in the Philharmonic Orchestra. During this time, I was also very active in my high school’s top chamber chorus as the tenor section leader, and as an intern/tutor for the Advanced Placement Music Theory course. I was fortunate to have performed in the highly competitive GMEA All-State Chorus, and also with the highest auditioned choral ensemble at my college (the Georgia State University Singers).

Around the age of 15, I began providing services as a musician for weddings, corporate events, receptions, dinners, bridal showers, Holiday parties, memorials, funeral services, anniversaries, graduation parties, retirement celebrations, and many other special events. In 2009, I released my first piano instrumental album that eventually sparked a keen interest in charitable giving . Over 10 years later, I still get a thrill out of lending my gift to create a special "musical backdrop" to enhance unforgettable moments.

MY PHILANTHROPIC INITIATIVE:

The Gift of Music Project

My interest in philanthropy began around the age of 16, when my father introduced the idea of donating a portion of the proceeds from my very first instrumental album (Christmas at 16) to a local children's shelter. That Christmas, I was able to write a check to the shelter for $500. It may not have seemed like much; but that day I became inspired by the idea that my musical talents could be used for an even greater purpose. It was then that my passion was realized and the concept of the "Gift of Music Project" would eventually develop into a growing philanthropic initiative and charitable sector of my music business. With the support of my family, friends, church & community, God has allowed us to raise thousands of dollars in donations for various nonprofits by hosting benefit concerts. The funds also have been used to sponsor various community outreach projects and charitable efforts within the city of Atlanta.

HOBBIES / OTHER INTERESTS:

When I'm not performing or producing music, I do maintain a 9-5 day job, remain very involved in my church, spend time with my wife & family, and have as much fun as I possibly can the whole way through.
